fping is an open resource and command line based software that permits its people to deliver ICMP echo probes to network hosts, equivalent to the ping command.
fping is really similar to ping but it outperforms it when it has to operate with a number of hosts.
fping is a cross- platform application that can be used on numerous platforms, including Mac OS X.
How to install and run : Unarchive, open a Terminal window, go to fping's folder and run the adhering to commands from the command line:
./configure
make
make install
